Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience
- ability to lead, supervise, and manage kitchen staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- capability to manage payroll and scheduling systems
- commitment to guest satisfaction and quality culinary standards
- ability to train and mentor employees
- flexibility to work full time schedule
- must be on-site at JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa in Florida
Job Qualifications

- or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts or related field with 2 years experience

Job Duties
- Lead and influence culinary team members with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- manage daily kitchen operations and supervise employees, ensuring productivity and cooperation
- prepare and execute food items according to specifications while leading shifts
- ensure kitchen compliance with food safety, sanitation standards, and operational policies
- develop new culinary ideas, presentations, and decorative food displays
- manage payroll administration and use labor management systems for scheduling
- coach, mentor, and develop staff through training and performance feedback
- prioritize guest satisfaction by continually improving service performance
- maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- participate in employee performance appraisal and corrective action processes
- collaborate with executive chef and other leadership to achieve operational goals
- communicate effectively with team members and leadership to resolve issues and improve department function
