Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting
  • strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  • experience in food service management including inventory management and cost control
  • familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices within the food industry
  • excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality advantageous

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development
  • supervise kitchen staff providing guidance and training
  • oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
  • manage inventory control including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
  • ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • accommodate special dietary needs and preferences
  • monitor kitchen operations during service to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • assist with shift management and scheduling staff to meet operational demands
