Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • banquet experience highly preferred
  • strong leadership abilities
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 4 years experience in culinary or food and beverage industry
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • minimum 2 years experience in related professional area
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • experience in managing food and beverage operations

Job Duties

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
  • supervises and manages kitchen staff and day-to-day operations
  • ensures and maintains productivity of employees
  • leads shifts while personally preparing food items
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers
  • develops and creates new culinary ideas and products
  • ensures compliance with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety policies
