Job Requirements
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certificate
- progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- proficiency in cost control measures
- experience in catering services
- knowledge of high volume foodservice operations
- computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
- ServSafe certification preferred
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- ability to participate in patient satisfaction programs
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
- some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- experience in catering preferred
- knowledge of high volume, complex foodservice operations highly desirable
- experience with institutional and batch cooking helpful
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
Job Duties
- assist in managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
- assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- supervise hourly associates and collaborate with Executive Chef to develop new menus and assist with ordering
