Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years of experience in culinary or related field
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to manage kitchen operations
  • capability to lead and develop a team
  • availability to work full time in Boston
  • commitment to uphold luxury service standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • experience in budget and payroll management
  • ability to coach and develop staff

Job Duties

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
  • supervises and manages employees while overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
  • encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • serves as a role model demonstrating appropriate behaviors
  • leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications
  • supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
