Job Requirements

  • 2+ years sales experience
  • previous hotel experience preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • familiar with common computer software programs, ability to learn new software programs
  • ability to multi-task
  • ability to work varied hours

Job Duties

  • Develop and grow business through direct sales and cold calls
  • grow existing accounts and generate new business to exceed budget and maximize revenue and profits
  • maintain existing account relationships
  • formulate sales and marketing strategies for assigned hotel
  • collaborate with Sales Team, Revenue Management, and Hotel General Manager to maximize profitability of properties and capture group business in all segments including corporate transient business while maintain guest satisfaction
  • assist in training and support of all Sales Associates and ensure performance in accordance with established Colwen Hotels and brand sales standards
  • set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy
