Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel Management preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years hospitality sales experience
  • Experience working with four-star/four-diamond or five-star/five-diamond properties
  • Ability to move around facility frequently
  • Ability to stand for long periods during events
  • Capacity to operate standard office equipment and manage physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Capability to walk, talk, hear, and communicate effectively in person and via telephone
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching as needed
  • Adequate vision abilities including close, distance, depth perception, and color vision
  • Availability to work inside or outside as event requirements dictate
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Must maintain a courteous and efficient demeanor when dealing with associates and guests

  • Working knowledge of Tripleseat and Open Table
  • Strong desire to exceed guest expectations with dedicated service approach
  • Ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times
  • Quick and timely responses to all calls, emails, and leads (no later than 24 hours)
  • Solicit and secure business for the Hotel through a proactive, focused sales approach using available technology
  • Develop strong, professional long-term business relationships
  • Attend networking events and become a member of civic organizations and industry associations
  • Maintain accurate information and revenues in databases for forecasting
  • Create and maintain organized files with all required information
  • Attend BEO and departmental meetings as required
  • Work closely with the Catering Department on event operations and execution
  • Be on-site to greet groups upon arrival and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Follow-up with clients post-event to address any issues and thank them
  • Communicate feedback to relevant departments
  • Manage billing processes to ensure collection
  • Assist other sales/catering managers with site inspections
  • Participate in customer functions and provide sales support during shows
  • Represent the property professionally and maintain company values
  • Foster a positive work environment among staff and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or General Manager
