Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma or higher
- Previous sales experience in hospitality industry
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and sales software
- Ability to stand walk and move throughout the hotel property
- Capability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Able to perform physical tasks including stooping kneeling crouching and crawling
- Good vision including peripheral vision and depth perception
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Job Qualifications
- Previous hotel sales experience required
- Previous lifestyle hotel experience a plus
- Knowledge of travel industry current market trends and economic factors
- Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations
- Proven track record in prospecting for new business and savvy at closing the deal
- Ability to make quick decisions and work in a hectic diverse work environment
- Strong ability to prioritize organize and manage competing priorities
- Well-developed leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships
- Excellent reading writing and oral proficiency in English
Job Duties
- Prepares sales reports and annual sales and marketing plan
- Creates effective sales programs that increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel its activities culinary services and personnel
- Ability to access understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Assists general manager in preparation of the marketing advertising sales plans programs and annual budget manages within approved plans and budgets
- Develops rates group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data demand analysis and mix management
- Communicates effectively and performs diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff
- Stands and moves throughout the hotel property to perform essential job functions
- Develops awareness and reputation of the hotel and brand in the local community
- Directs and manages all group transient and banquet sales activities to maximize revenue
- Prepares implements and compiles data for strategic sales plan monthly reports annual goals sales and marketing budget forecasts and other required reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
