Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field
  • minimum of 3 years experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience in group sales or hotel sales
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to conduct site inspections and deliver presentations
  • strong negotiation and closing skills
  • knowledge of hospitality industry trends and competitor landscape
  • proficiency in sales and customer relationship management software
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • achieve group revenue goals by responding to incoming group and catering leads that align with peak room parameters
  • actively solicit new and existing accounts through outbound calls, sales calls, site inspections, and written communication
  • prepare customer correspondence, internal reports, and maintain accurate sales files
  • attend and participate in RevMax meetings, pre-convention meetings, training sessions, and sales-related meetings
  • represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and community functions
  • collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to drive sales strategies
