Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • four years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • two years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
  • preferred large group sales experience

Job Duties

  • acts as the on-property liaison for group sales within peak room parameters
  • contracts and closes group business and conducts site inspections
  • verifies proper and timely business turnover for quality service delivery
  • achieves group revenue goals by up-selling business opportunities
  • implements brand service strategies and initiatives to drive customer loyalty
  • participates in pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and assess satisfaction
  • monitors daily selling procedures to control occupancy and maximize revenue
