Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with four years experience in relevant fields
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university with two years relevant experience
  • Preferred large group sales experience
  • Ability to manage sales activities and budgets
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in conducting site inspections and sales negotiations
  • Able to deliver exemplary customer service
  • Willingness to participate in pre- and post-event meetings and related activities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and four years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area
  • Or two-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with two years sales experience
  • Preferred experience in large group sales
  • Strong negotiation and creative selling skills
  • Knowledge of market conditions, competitors, and economic trends
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Acts as the on-property liaison for group sales within predefined peak room parameters
  • Contracts and closes group business and conducts site inspections
  • Verifies business turnover to Event Management is timely and of high quality
  • Achieves group revenue goals by up-selling opportunities
  • Develops and implements group sales and marketing plans
  • Participates in pre- and post-convention meetings for feedback and customer satisfaction
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with customers and community to enhance future bookings
