Job Requirements
- bachelors degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years of progressive healthcare experience
- strong clinical background
- experience working in large and complex healthcare organization preferred
- advanced knowledge of MS Office products
- excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- coordinate patient safety event management collaboratively with leadership and committees
- facilitate the medical peer review process
- analyze serious patient concerns and unexpected clinical outcomes
- identify trends using data to improve quality systems and performance
- participate in the analysis of adverse events and follow-up on regulatory agency visits
- recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk
- participate in educational offerings to maintain current knowledge
- work independently with minimal supervision
- assist in review and development of hospital policies
- participate in hospital patient safety initiatives
- identify barriers to improvement and develop strategies
- transfer patient safety concepts to hospital-wide initiatives
- provide staff education on patient safety and error prevention
- prepare presentations for committees and clinical groups
- participate in training and mentoring quality and safety team members
- perform other duties as assigned
