Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or related field
- High school diploma plus CHST, OSHA 500, and 14 years of continuous construction experience leading crews and planning work
- Minimum of eight years as a dedicated construction safety professional managing large project or multi-project safety programs
- Experience working on large, complex construction projects with multiple subcontractors
- Prior experience managing a safety team preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coach and influence others
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action policies
- Valid driver's license
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or related field
- High school diploma plus CHST, OSHA 500, and a minimum of 14 years of continuous construction experience leading crews and planning work
- At least eight years as a dedicated construction safety professional managing large project or multi-project safety programs, conducting hazard analyses, developing controls, and conducting safety training
- Experience working on large, complex projects with a high volume of subcontractor workers
- Managing a team of safety professionals preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Organizational and computer skills to support multiple project teams, acting as regional or market safety lead where appropriate
- Positive and professional attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to interpret and communicate company policies
- Effective public speaking and presentation skills, strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to coach and influence operating group and project leaders in safety management
- Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 100 percent

- Valid driver's license
Job Duties
- Plan, lead, and manage the implementation of Zero Injury Safety Program elements and initiatives throughout the operating group
- Lead and support safety program collaboration across multiple organizations, including trade partners and joint-venture partners
- Conduct and review site hazard assessments with project management during planning and construction phases
- Develop, schedule, and conduct safety training, including train-the-trainer sessions, and create group-specific safety orientation content
- Oversee project documentation, tracking, and analysis of all safety, injury, and hazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reports
- Monitor onsite construction activities through audits and observations, documenting deficiencies and corrective actions
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and analysis, and coach safety managers in high-risk plan review
- Provide professional direction and mentorship to safety staff, including development opportunities and hosting learning sessions
- Maintain operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, and procedures
- Support the operating group safety director and safety leadership team in achieving and maintaining safety performance metrics, and assist in incident response as needed
