Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • OR two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • Two years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related area
  • Experience managing teams in hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and performance reports
  • Proficiency in customer service excellence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • Minimum two years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping or related professional area
  • Proven leadership experience in rooms operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service protocols
  • Ability to foster team motivation and employee development

Job Duties

  • Manages the execution of all operations in rooms area departments including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Housekeeping
  • Manages staff and leads teams to meet or exceed property goals
  • Creates and nurtures an environment emphasizing motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and service passion
  • Understands employee and guest satisfaction results and develops action plans
  • Sets clear expectations for the team with the General Manager
  • Verifies team capabilities to meet expectations
  • Leads by example demonstrating confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Assists employees in understanding and exceeding guests’ changing needs and expectations
  • Follows property-specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Publishes guest satisfaction results timely
  • Takes proactive approach to employee concerns
  • Extends professionalism and courtesy to employees and guests
  • Communicates goals and results with employees
  • Meets semiannually with staff individually
  • Schedules team to meet guest and occupancy goals
  • Monitors compliance with standards and procedures
  • Performs hourly job functions when needed
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Responds timely to guest concerns
  • Verifies team members meet hospitality requirements
  • Performs annual quality audits with GM and Regional Director
  • Ensures key control program viability
  • Reviews financial statements and performance data for productivity and improvement
  • Interviews and assists with hiring decisions
  • Promotes Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies
  • Ensures thorough orientation for new team members
