Job Requirements
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 3 years experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related field
- or 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in related major
- 1 year experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related field
- strong analytical and forecasting skills
- proficiency with reservation and inventory management systems
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- detail-oriented and organized
- capability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- familiarity with hospitality industry revenue metrics such as RevPAR and RevPAS
- ability to adapt sales strategies in response to market changes
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 3 years experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- or 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or related major with 1 year experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
Job Duties
- Manage room authorizations, rates and restrictions
- manage function space authorizations, restrictions and rental
- manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
- maintain transient rooms inventory and maximize transient revenue
- release group rooms back into general inventory ensuring clean booking windows
- ensure hotel sales strategies are implemented in reservation and inventory systems
- prepare sales strategy critique
- monitor transient and group inventory daily to ensure availability and revenue maximization
- communicate and modify sales strategies and rate restrictions as market conditions change
- support cluster selling initiatives with reservation centers
- use reservation and demand forecasting systems to control selling strategies
- ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) maximize revenue and profits
- initiate, implement and evaluate revenue tests
- recommend improvements to revenue management processes
- ensure compliance with company promotions and eCommerce channels
- ensure hotels follow brand strategies to maintain or increase RevPAR and RevPAS
- understand relationships between sales, reservations and property management systems
- participate in quarterly regional reviews
- promote and protect brand equity
- achieve and exceed performance, budget and team goals
- attend meetings to plan and coordinate activities
- establish long-range objectives and strategies
- drive execution of predetermined strategies
- demonstrate knowledge of relevant products, systems, and processes
- meet needs of key stakeholders
- explore profit-driving opportunities and innovation
- compile and analyze sales versus projections
- create and update long-range and weekly forecasts
- conduct sales strategy analysis and refinement
- maintain accurate reservation data
- analyze data to identify trends and obstacles
- generate transient segment updates
- assist with account diagnostics
- provide revenue analysis expertise to management
- prepare revenue, profit, demand and occupancy forecasts
- prepare revenue and profit opportunity analyses
- manage revenue, profit and demand data
- develop or use analytical tools to maximize revenues
- analyze information to solve problems
- use computer systems for data processing
- generate timely reports and presentations
- develop and manage internal stakeholder relationships
