Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing procurement
- Proven leadership experience in culinary and large event environments
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Outlook
- Ability to obtain forklift or heavy machinery license
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing laws and compliance
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping event timelines
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, approximately 180 days annually
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform warehouse tasks
- Must adhere to company and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, warehousing, inventory, record keeping, and high-level communication skills
- 3-5 years in a purchasing role with focus on high volume food and beverage or sports and entertainment purchasing preferred
- 4 or more years in a leadership culinary role, preferably in sports and entertainment or large scale events
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Licensed or willing to obtain license to drive forklift or heavy machinery
- Knowledgeable in purchasing methods, procedures, legal compliance, and market factors
- Ability to travel approximately 180 days per year
Job Duties
- Obtain supplies and equipment using company guidelines, rules, policies, and state laws
- Work with culinary, operations, and sales teams to determine ordering needs for tournaments
- Prepare and review all purchase orders with accurate specifications, pricing, and sustainability
- Set up compliant vendors for payment processes
- Audit invoices for accuracy, receipt of materials, and compliance with purchase orders
- Track requisitions and purchase orders post-event to ensure invoice capture
- Maintain files, receipts, and event budgets while overseeing overall event profit and loss statements
- Initiate, approve, and process last minute purchases as needed
- Receive, track, and organize on-site deliveries
- Manage warehouse and truck inventory accounting and processing
- Assist in kitchen and loading docks for delivery logistics
- Coordinate deliveries, track shortages, and conduct store runs during events
- Lead culinary teams at various events including golf tournaments, boat shows, and sports venues
- Produce consistent, high-volume food products through multiple service times daily
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation in all kitchen and food service areas
- Create and maintain a positive morale among kitchen and culinary teams
- Utilize Microsoft Office and communication tools in purchasing and coordination
- Perform other related duties as needed
