Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory management
- 4+ years of culinary leadership experience
- ability to travel extensively (around 180 days per year)
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
- strong organizational and communication skills
- adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- willingness to work flexible hours including travel and event schedules
Job Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, warehousing, inventory, record keeping, and communication
- 3-5+ years in a purchasing role with high volume food and beverage or stadium sports and entertainment purchasing preferred
- 4+ years in a leadership culinary role with experience in large scale or sports and entertainment events
- excellent organization and communication skills
- proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- licensing or willingness to be licensed to drive forklift/heavy machinery
- knowledge of purchasing methods, procedures, pricing structures, market factors, product characteristics, reporting and departmental procedures, and legal purchasing operations
- ability to travel approximately 180 days per year
Job Duties
- Obtain supplies and equipment using company guidelines, rules, policies, and state laws
- work with culinary, operations, and sales teams to obtain lists and information of what needs to be ordered for each tournament
- prepare and review all purchase orders ensuring purchase order numbers are generated and tied to each invoice
- prepare and review orders to verify accurate specifications, pricing, and sustainability
- set up compliant vendors for payment in accounts payable processes
- audit invoices and check for accuracy, receipt of material, and compliance with purchase orders
- track the status of requisitions and purchase orders following events through vendor statements to ensure all invoices and purchase orders have been captured
- maintain files and receipts, track budgets by events, and oversee overall event P&Ls with tournament director and finance lead
- initiate, approve, and process last minute purchases as needed
- receive, track, and organize on-site deliveries
- work in the warehouse/trucks to ensure all inventory is accounted for and thoroughly processed
- assist in the kitchen and loading docks to facilitate, organize, and track deliveries
- coordinate deliveries, track short lists, and make store runs during events to ensure all needs are met
- be a leader on the culinary team at various events, focusing on golf tournaments but also supporting boat shows, collegiate stadiums, concerts, racetracks, and more
- produce consistent product in high volume for multiple service times per day
- ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas
- create and maintain morale of the kitchen and culinary team
- utilize Microsoft Office, internal and external email communications, and purchasing procedures
- perform other related duties as needed
