Job Requirements
- Five years experience managing projects in development including design, construction or renovations
- Five years experience reading and interpreting construction documents
- Ability to travel up to 30-40 percent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management and construction tracking software
Job Qualifications
- Five years experience managing projects in development including design, construction or renovations
- Five years experience reading and interpreting construction documents such as architectural and engineering plans
- Ability to travel up to 30-40 percent
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, design, or construction related field preferred
- Licenses or certificates such as Architect, Engineer, Interior Designer (NCIDQ), Project Manager (PMP) preferred
- Experience in hospitality development including design, construction or renovation of hotels preferred
- Experience with Bluebeam software preferred
Job Duties
- Provide technical guidance and services and enforce design and construction standards with owners while also building their trust and respect
- Review new hotel site plans as part of the franchise approval process to ensure that the proposed site will support the proposed hotel in line with Hilton standards
- Review construction documents for hotels including new development, adaptive reuse, conversions, room additions and brand changes to ensure compliance with Hilton requirements
- Conduct a minimum of three on-site construction inspections for each hotel and immediately address issues on-site, followed by written correspondence explaining non-compliance
- Build relationships and conduct predesign kickoff meetings for hotel owners/franchisees and their project teams, leading meetings, calls and webinars to explain Hilton requirements
- Propose revisions of AD&C documents to standards and prototype documents teams
- Collaborate with other Hilton functions including design services, engineering support, food and beverage, spa and fitness, brand opening teams, brand performance support, and quality assurance
- Review architectural and engineering plans and specifications at schematic, design development, and final stages to ensure compliance with Hilton requirements
- Update and input project data in Hilton's tracking system and provide accurately forecasted construction start and hotel opening dates for senior management and Hilton teams
- Resolve issues immediately with owners/franchisees regarding deficiencies, non-compliance with brand standards or PIP scope during submittal reviews and construction progress
