Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in food science, food technology, agriculture, biology, quality, or related discipline
  • Five years of experience with Food & Beverage certification schemes including SQF and customer-driven programs within an accredited certification body
  • Five years of working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 and ISO/IEC 17065 with demonstrated ability to apply accreditation and scheme requirements
  • Experience leading and managing full-time auditors, subcontract auditors, and technical reviewers
  • Proven senior technical authority with sound judgment on standard interpretation, audit findings, corrective actions, and certification decisions
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% domestically
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in food science, food technology, agriculture, biology, quality, or related discipline
  • Five years of experience with Food & Beverage certification schemes including SQF and customer-driven programs within an accredited certification body
  • Five years of working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 and ISO/IEC 17065 with proven ability to apply accreditation and scheme requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing a mixed resource model of full-time, subcontract auditors, and technical reviewers
  • Proven capability as a senior technical authority in interpreting standards, audit findings, corrective actions, and certification decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to provide clear, authoritative technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Hold overall technical responsibility for assigned Food & Beverage certification schemes including SQF and COSTCO
  • Serve as the Local Unit focal point for interpretation and implementation of requirements issued by the Global Technical Hub
  • Provide line management for a mixed team of auditors and technical reviewers
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point for standards interpretation, audit findings, nonconformities, and certification decisions
  • Support operational and sales teams with authoritative technical guidance
  • Engage directly with customers to clarify technical issues and certification outcomes
  • Support onboarding, qualification, and continuous development of auditors
  • Deliver or support annual training programs including updates to schemes and standards
  • Participate in accreditation and external oversight activities including witness audits
  • Collaborate with global teams, accreditation bodies, scheme owners, and customers
