Job Requirements

  • valid California driver's license
  • background investigation clearance
  • willingness to work day or swing shifts
  • availability for weekends and holidays
  • ability to work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months
  • ability to purchase and wear required uniform
  • adherence to grooming standards
  • enthusiasm for State Parks mission

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience with park operations
  • demonstrated leadership ability
  • customer service skills
  • valid California driver's license
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • clearance of background investigation

Job Duties

  • lead seasonal park aides in kiosk operation
  • prepare routine reports and accounting documents for fees collected
  • check park facilities and report problems
  • handle minor visitor complaints
  • explain park policies and regulations
  • answer routine questions from the public
  • coordinate housekeeping activities
  • inspect completed work for quality control and conformance to established standards
  • train lower-level seasonal employees
