Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years old
- must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- 5 or more years of relevant safety management and leadership experience
- strong working knowledge of safety, EHS, risk management, and OSHA federal and state employment laws
- basic working knowledge of motor vehicle laws and regulations
- ability to maintain positive relationships and communicate effectively
- ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment
- ability to respond quickly to multiple situations
- ability to work 24/7 on-call
- ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- physical ability to perform tasks including sight, hearing, standing, walking, and manual dexterity
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety science, safety risk management, ergonomics, logistics, transportation, or related safety field preferred
- 5 or more years of relevant safety management and leadership experience required
- experience in tech, startup, and/or AV industry strongly preferred
- strong background in safety management, transportation, and/or logistics highly preferred
- strong working knowledge of safety, EHS, risk management, and OSHA federal and state employment laws
- basic working knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to motor vehicle operations
- strong written and oral communication skills
- excellent presentation skills
- ability to influence at all organizational levels
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or GSuite
Job Duties
- Regional management of safety organization in the geographic locations assigned
- direct leadership and management in developing a culture where safety, inclusion, and ongoing employee interaction are valued
- curate and present daily, weekly, and monthly business reports to client leaders and executives
- lead role implementing programs impacting EHS and regulatory compliance regarding transportation and workplace safety
- develop and deploy essential process improvement techniques and tools
- manage performance improvement processes
- develop and deploy metrics to coordinate with safety performance KPIs
- diagnose problems and develop streamlined process flows
- mentor peers and influence operational teams
- participate in client and prospective client meetings
- collaborate with human resources to identify root causes and reduce workplace incidents
- perform other duties as required
