Job Duties
- Oversees daily operation of student apartment communities and residential colleges ensuring well-maintained and safe living environments
- Implements systems to deliver high-quality resident experiences focusing on responsiveness and community engagement
- Supports leasing, occupancy coordination, and resident communications within apartment-style housing
- Collaborates with vendors and contractors to maintain service quality and value
- Identifies and prioritizes capital renewal and maintenance projects for housing facilities
- Maintains effective communications with college leadership, students, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Monitors and manages a large team of custodial, maintenance, and grounds staff and resident assistants
- Directs operations for summer housing and conference programs including planning and service execution
- Ensures quality assurance through resident feedback and vendor oversight
- Provides leadership and vision to support the university’s mission and foster high staff morale
- Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates housing and hospitality staff
- Manages administrative functions including personnel documentation, work order management, and budgeting
- Develops and manages an operating budget approximately $6 million
- Oversees implementation of environmentally safe housing practices
- Analyzes and improves operational processes and standard operating procedures
- Coordinates with campus stakeholders to align operational strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned
