Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of leadership in a warehouse setting
  • ability to stand and walk up to 80% of the time
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift as needed and assist in hands-on warehouse tasks
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • commitment to safety and maintaining cleanliness
  • problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • bachelor's degree or some college coursework preferred
  • proficient with Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • strong communication (verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills
  • problem-solving and critical thinking based on data and frontline experience
  • safety management and housekeeping compliance
  • bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • experience with furniture or other big-ticket item logistics
  • strong mathematical aptitude and analytical thinking
  • hands-on leadership and collaborative approach to team morale and productivity

Job Duties

  • Be the primary decision maker on the overall day to day operations by working closely with the operations managers
  • implement and enforce the warehouse operational policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving and other operational areas as business dictates
  • maintain budget and targeted expenses by reviewing the monthly P & L, Capex Expenditures and approving invoicing
  • write performance reviews to foster continuous learning, growth and development and create succession plans
  • continuously review building and shift structure as well as personnel changes to ensure optimum utilization of staff
  • manage staffing by hitting targeted goals, effective recruitment, training and development of all employees
  • connect with all partners within the supply chain to support an efficient operation
  • meet customer commitments by focusing on quality and accuracy, minimizing damage of product
  • assist in practical hands-on work when necessary to maintain morale and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • drive a culture of safety by following all safety policies and maintaining housekeeping standards
  • support the business with flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • serve as acting facility lead when Director is not onsite
