Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or similar field
- minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale event planning with CMP certification
- experience working with non-profits, associations, or education sectors
- experience in vendor sourcing, negotiating, and contracting
- strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- technical expertise in audiovisual, internet, electrical, catering, security, transportation, and meeting logistics
- advanced project management skills and experience with project management tools
- exceptional attention to detail
- strong supervisory skills
- ability to travel up to 15% annually
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or a related field
- minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale event planning
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification
- experience working with non-profits, associations, or education sectors
- strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- advanced project management skills
- supervisory experience
Job Duties
- Plan and execute large-scale events and meetings
- manage vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contracting
- coordinate logistics including audiovisual, internet, electrical, catering, security, and transportation
- supervise on-site event staff and vendor teams
- oversee multi-hotel room block arrangements
- utilize project management tools to coordinate event timelines
- mentor internal support team members
