Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or similar field
  • minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale event planning with CMP certification
  • experience working with non-profits, associations, or education sectors
  • experience in vendor sourcing, negotiating, and contracting
  • strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • technical expertise in audiovisual, internet, electrical, catering, security, transportation, and meeting logistics
  • advanced project management skills and experience with project management tools
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • strong supervisory skills
  • ability to travel up to 15% annually

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or a related field
  • minimum 7 years of experience in large-scale event planning
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification
  • experience working with non-profits, associations, or education sectors
  • strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • advanced project management skills
  • supervisory experience

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute large-scale events and meetings
  • manage vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contracting
  • coordinate logistics including audiovisual, internet, electrical, catering, security, and transportation
  • supervise on-site event staff and vendor teams
  • oversee multi-hotel room block arrangements
  • utilize project management tools to coordinate event timelines
  • mentor internal support team members
