Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical maintenance in power generation
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Ability to lift or displace up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and safety data sheets
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairways
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to lead and train staff
  • Compliance with safety procedures including lockout/tagout protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or equivalent relevant experience
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical principles and power generation systems
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings
  • Skilled in the use of mechanical tools and repair instruments
  • Strong leadership and training skills
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to comply with safety regulations and procedures
  • Proficient in record-keeping and report writing
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
  • Ability to work in adverse weather and confined spaces

Job Duties

  • Lead and train assigned staff responsible for performing skilled maintenance tasks
  • Inspect, repair, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment related to power generation and water treatment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Inspect and ensure the quality and completeness of contracted work
  • Interpret blueprints, parts manuals, and maintenance manuals
  • Adhere to proper tag out and lockout procedures for equipment safety
  • Handle and store job-related equipment, tools, and products appropriately
  • Assist with plant facility and equipment cleaning and general housekeeping
  • Train and perform duties in emergency egress and safety-related incidents as needed
  • Perform related duties as required
