Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- forklift certification
- minimum of two years forklift and tow motor operating experience preferred
- ability to operate various warehouse equipment including sit down and stand up forklifts, motorized and non-motorized pallet jacks
- knowledge of inventory control
- ability to perform light data entry
- ability to read and follow safety and maintenance instructions
- basic math proficiency
- strong attention to detail
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- forklift certification required
- two years forklift/tow motor experience preferred
- ability to operate forklift, tow motor, pallet jack, clamps, reach and slip sheet equipment
- knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures
- basic data entry skills
- ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational procedures
- legible handwriting
- basic math skills
- decision making based on customer acceptance and product fitness
- strong attention to detail
- English language proficiency
- team player
- professional and positive communication skills
Job Duties
- Accurately locate and load customer products using motorized equipment such as forklifts and clamps
- count, weigh and record units of materials handled daily
- complete specialized order processing including stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink wrapping and labeling
- assign and verify trailers to appropriate dock and yard locations
- inspect and perform maintenance checks on tow-motor vehicles
- prepare trailers by inspecting and cleaning to ensure product preservation
- assist in maintaining clean and safe warehouse grounds
- load and unload orders following company procedures and complete related paperwork
- move, stack and stage products manually or using equipment
- complete activity and statistical reports as assigned
- assist in physical inventories to ensure security of facility contents
- perform sanitation tasks, assemble crates, and move loose materials as directed
- follow mandatory safety instructions and use personal protective equipment
- apply continuous improvement methods to enhance operational efficiency
- sustain facility cleanliness using the 5S Lean methodology
- meet or exceed company standards for safety, quality, productivity and customer service
