Job Requirements

  • Forklift certification required
  • preferred two years forklift or tow motor experience
  • ability to operate specialized equipment such as turret clamp and slip sheet machinery
  • ability to perform light data entry
  • basic math skills
  • ability to read and comprehend safety and operational instructions
  • ability to write legibly
  • must pay continuous attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Forklift certified
  • two years forklift or tow motor experience preferred
  • ability to operate sit down and stand up forklifts, tow motor, motorized and non-motorized pallet jacks, clamps, reach and slip sheet equipment

Job Duties

  • Accurately locate and load customer products using motorized equipment and by hand
  • Count, weigh, and record materials handled on daily production sheets
  • Complete specialized order processing including stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink wrapping, labeling, and consolidating
  • Assign and verify trailers to appropriate dock or yard locations and secure trailers following safety policies
  • Inspect, maintain and report defective tow-motor vehicles and equipment before shift
  • Prepare trailers for loading by inspecting and cleaning
  • Assist in building and grounds maintenance ensuring clean, safe, and orderly facility
  • Load and unload products according to procedures completing paperwork such as Bill of Lading and Pick Report
  • Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned
  • Assist with physical inventories ensuring security of facility and contents
  • Provide sanitation and crate assembly services as directed
  • Follow mandatory health, safety, and environmental instructions including use of personal protective equipment
  • Apply continuous improvement and 5S lean methodology to improve efficiency and maintain safety and cleanliness
  • Meet and exceed company standards for warehouse safety, food safety, sanitation, quality, productivity, and customer service
