Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification required
- Minimum two years of relevant forklift or tow motor experience preferred
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment
- Basic computer data entry skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to work weekends on 1st shift
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Must be a team player
Job Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Two years of forklift/tow motor experience preferred
- Ability to operate sit down and stand up forklifts, tow motor, motorized and non-motorized pallet jacks, clamp, reach and slip sheet equipment
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures
- Basic data entry skills
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to write legibly
- Basic math skills
- Ability to make decisions on customer acceptance based on past experience
- Attention to detail
- English language proficiency
- Team player with professional and positive communication skills
Job Duties
- Accurately locate and load customer products using appropriate motorized equipment
- Count, weigh and record units of materials handled daily
- Complete specialized order processing including stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink-wrapping, labeling and consolidating
- Assign and verify trailers to appropriate dock or yard locations following safety protocols
- Inspect, repair and maintain tow-motor vehicles daily
- Prepare trailers by inspecting and cleaning for product preservation
- Load and unload products and materials in accordance with company policies and complete relevant paperwork
- Complete required activity and statistical reports
- Assist in physical inventories and maintaining security of facilities
- Provide sanitation services and assemble crates or boxes for products
- Follow health and safety instructions including use of personal protective equipment
- Apply continuous improvement and 5S Lean methodologies to warehouse operations
