Job Requirements
- BSN or MSN required for new hires after May 1, 2018
- Current RN license
- ACLS certification required (except behavioral health incumbents)
- PALS certification as per facility assignment
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of healthcare laws and policies
- Ability to manage in a matrix organization
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Criminal History Affidavit for behavioral health clinical settings serving children
Job Qualifications
- BSN or MSN degree
- Current RN license in state of practice
- ACLS certification (not required for behavioral health incumbents)
- Strong knowledge of nursing and healthcare operations
- At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- High-level decision-making skills
- Understanding of laws, policies, procedures and standards
- Effective matrix management skills
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for those working in behavioral health settings with children
Job Duties
- Assess overall staffing effectiveness and adequate throughput by ensuring appropriate number, competency and skill mix of staff
- Respond to and assess all codes and crisis situations, implement plans and evaluate responses
- Serve as a professional resource to patients, families, physicians and staff by prioritizing, mediating and resolving concerns
- Interpret and ensure regulatory compliance of business policies and procedures
- Demonstrate support for continuous quality improvement
- Lead through coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions and development opportunities
- Facilitate selection, orientation, onboarding and retention processes
