  • Six or more years of relevant professional experience in public relations, media, or related functions
  • Ability to work from the MI Lab office in New York City
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel globally for brand events and hotel openings

Job Duties

  • Lead the development of PR strategies across Marriott’s Select Brand portfolio aligned with business goals
  • Run and oversee integrated campaigns with marketing, social, and partnership teams to maximize PR impact and press coverage
  • Plan, direct, and oversee annual public relations plans, collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Create, edit, and develop brand PR materials ensuring consistent brand voice and quality
  • Establish measurement frameworks and deliver strategic insights based on campaign performance
  • Build and maintain senior-level media relationships and manage media requests
  • Execute proactive and reactive media outreach including pitching stories and high-value editorial placements
  • Lead strategy, production, and execution of media events including coordinating itineraries and serving as senior media contact
  • Develop monthly proactive pitch calendars informed by trends and consumer insights
  • Manage external PR agencies and mentor junior team members to enhance team capabilities
