Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in special events or marketing
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity and decorum
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Experience in data-driven marketing strategy development and program evaluation
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Creative and proactive problem-solver
- Ability to anticipate needs and provide recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Spanish language skills preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
- 4+ years experience in special events or marketing, sports or entertainment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity and decorum
- Proven leadership abilities in building, motivating and managing teams
- Ability to manage complex projects under strict deadlines
- Experience using data and insight to drive marketing strategy and evaluate programs
- Detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task
- Creative, innovative, energetic and proactive work approach
- Ability to anticipate and make recommendations based on manager or project needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Job Duties
- Develop and oversee the execution of large scale and milestone events in partnership with marketing and operations team
- Develop and implement the All-Star Game Balloting program including special promotions and incentives
- Manage key marketing revenue programs such as Commemorative Brick Programs and Astros Buddies
- Lead cross functional project management for promotions and grassroots initiatives including planning, budget, and communication
- Manage end-to-end planning and execution of all premium item processes and vendor relationships
- Oversee annual promotions and events department planning and budget management
- Represent Marketing to promote core seasonal programs via media partners
- Collaborate with Producer/Production Manager to develop and execute the in-game experience
- Partner with Sponsorship and Community departments to activate experiential assets for corporate partners
- Leverage customer insight, benchmarking, and performance metrics to evaluate initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
