Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or mass communications or a related field
  • seven plus years of experience in strategy and development or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • manage projects and make recommendations with significant and far-ranging impact on business performance
  • directly manage vendor relationships and indirectly influence executives and stakeholders across multiple locations
  • serve as a key consensus builder and collaborator within marketing and sales and the company overall
  • consistent attendance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead the development, preparation, and consolidation of strategic analyses of Universal Kids Resort’s marketing and sales initiatives to optimize resource allocation
  • identify strategic product opportunities for growth including market and segment evolution and analyze external marketing trends and competitive actions
  • develop product strategies and programs to maximize attendance, average per visitor, and repeat visitation through fact-based analytics
  • drive hotel occupancy through targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • assess new business opportunities through researching and analyzing internal and publicly available information including competitive intelligence
  • provide business insights based on rigorous analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends
  • communicate network strategies and learnings throughout the organization
  • manage efforts to identify, execute, and communicate integration and alignment opportunities domestically within Marketing and Sales and other divisions
  • support the annual planning and budgeting process for Marketing and Sales
  • oversee performance and responsibilities of direct reports and department
  • cultivate team development emphasizing company vision, culture, consumer orientation, collaboration, and innovation
  • develop new product and service ideas to exceed consumer expectations and differentiate the Universal brand
  • leverage research data to influence leadership to new levels of growth and profitability
  • support hotel marketing and sales strategies to maximize occupancy during theme park closure timeframes
  • participate actively in environmental, health, and safety responsibilities
  • perform other duties as assigned
