Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • four years relevant work experience if no degree
  • six years engineering experience in aviation or aerospace preferred
  • five years experience in senior engineer or supervisory role
  • pre-employment drug test required
  • legal authorization to work in the US
  • ability to work under pressure
  • available for overnight travel

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • six years of aviation or aerospace engineering experience

Job Duties

  • Ensure team compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
  • own AeroData System Manual and Weight and Balance Manual
  • represent JetBlue in industry and internal meetings
  • develop and mentor crewmembers for growth and engagement
  • manage business partner relationships for operations and fuel engineering products
  • oversee design and implementation of tracking systems for aircraft weight, balance, and performance
  • develop procedures for exceptional operational situations
  • create route analyses, including payload-range and airport suitability studies
  • investigate operational incidents and determine root causes
  • monitor aircraft performance trends and ensure corrective actions
  • refine fuel consumption and purchasing forecasts
  • identify and evaluate improvement opportunities to reduce fuel consumption and emissions
  • validate forecasted benefits of fuel and performance initiatives
  • report monthly analytics to internal teams
  • contribute to ad hoc operability and performance projects
  • build relationships across system partners
  • perform additional duties as assigned
