Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (high school diploma/GED with four years relevant experience)
- Six years engineering experience in aviation/aerospace
- Five years senior engineer or managerial experience
- Experience communicating with senior leadership
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong airline business acumen
- Strong analytical abilities
- Proficiency with SQL or programming languages
- Ability to work under pressure
- Assertive and tactful communicator
- Project management skills
- Multitasking skills
- Willingness for 10% overnight travel
- Pass pre-employment drug screen

Job Duties
- Ensure team compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
- Manage AeroData System Manual and Weight and Balance Manual
- Represent JetBlue in industry and internal meetings
- Develop crewmembers to support engagement and growth
- Manage relationships with business partners for Operations and Fuel Engineering products
- Provide strategic oversight for aircraft weight and balance systems, aircraft performance monitoring, and airport and aircraft data management
- Develop special operational procedures for unusual situations
- Conduct route analysis including payload-range and airport suitability studies
- Investigate operational events and failures with root cause analysis
- Identify and address negative trends in aircraft performance
- Refine fuel consumption and purchasing forecasts at route and station levels
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Validate forecasted savings from fuel and performance initiatives
- Create monthly reports and provide analytical support
- Contribute to ad hoc projects supporting senior leadership
- Build relationships across JetBlue system
- Perform other duties as assigned
