Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in international trade business law supply chain or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive global trade compliance experience with minimum 3 years in management
- strong knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations including EAR ITAR OFAC CBP and FTR
- experience with trade compliance software platforms and ERP systems
- relevant certifications such as CUSECO LCB CES CITP preferred
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- proven ability to manage regulatory audits and voluntary disclosures
- ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic global business environment
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in international trade business law supply chain or related field
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in global trade compliance with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
- in-depth knowledge of U.S. and international import export regulations such as EAR ITAR OFAC CBP and FTR
- demonstrated success building or maturing trade compliance programs in a multinational environment
- strong experience with trade compliance platforms and ERP systems such as SAP GTS Oracle GTM Descartes OCR
- relevant certifications such as CUSECO LCB CES CITP strongly preferred
- excellent leadership communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- proven track record of managing regulatory audits and voluntary disclosures
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced global and evolving environment
Job Duties
- develop implement and maintain documented procedures ensuring compliance with customs regulations and global trade policy and procedures
- work closely and maintain business partnership with customs brokers and business partners such as CH Robinson and Expeditors
- lead duty drawback program for North America
- lead and manage the company's global trade compliance program ensuring adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations including EAR ITAR OFAC and CBP
- oversee export import activities ensuring proper licensing documentation recordkeeping and reporting
- develop and implement trade compliance strategies risk assessments policies procedures and controls aligned with business goals
- partner with cross-functional teams such as legal procurement logistics engineering R&D and finance to integrate compliance into daily operations
- ensure accurate product classification valuation country of origin determination and application of free trade agreements
- oversee restricted party screening processes and monitor global sanctions developments
- lead investigations of potential violations develop corrective actions and manage voluntary disclosures
- support international freight activities participate in global procurement events and develop KPIs
- coordinate internal external audits and liaise with government agencies as required
- monitor regulatory changes industry trends and ensure timely updates to compliance frameworks and training programs
