Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years event management experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Ability to work full time on site at The Westin Cape Coral Resort
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Willingness to participate in event site inspections and sales support
  • Availability to work flexible hours including event days

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of event management experience
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and profitability
  • Experience handling customer relations and resolving complaints
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple departments
  • Knowledge of event coordination software and tools preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
  • Identify and solve operational challenges related to events
  • Manage customer budgets and maximize revenue through up-selling
  • Oversee customer experience from file turnover through post-event phase
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • Act as liaison between sales, customers, and property teams throughout event process
