Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 4-6 years of experience managing large-scale sporting and live events
  • 4-6 years of direct management experience
  • ability to work long and odd hours including weekends, early mornings, nights and holidays
  • ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods
  • ability to read, write and speak in English
  • intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • intermediate AutoCAD knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience managing large-scale sporting and live events
  • 4-6 years of direct management experience
  • proficiency in live event management execution
  • proficiency in indirect department communication and staff management
  • ability to communicate changes effectively
  • teamwork-centered approach to event management
  • effective time management and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD
  • high school diploma or GED
  • college preferred

Job Duties

  • Offer strategic input and quality process oversight to Event Coordinators and Event Managers during event planning
  • Attend and support event coverage with on-site leadership presence to ensure overall event success
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of management areas including sports teams and concerts to assist with strategic discussions
  • Develop policies, procedures, and solutions in conjunction with leadership and lead department initiatives
  • Serve as a mentor and coach providing guidance and professional development to Event Coordinators and Event Managers
  • Promote a collaborative team-first culture emphasizing knowledge sharing and mutual support
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors ensuring compliance with safety and league regulations
