Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 4-6 years of experience managing large-scale sporting and live events
- 4-6 years of direct management experience
- ability to work long and odd hours including weekends, early mornings, nights and holidays
- ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods
- ability to read, write and speak in English
- intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- intermediate AutoCAD knowledge
Job Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience managing large-scale sporting and live events
- 4-6 years of direct management experience
- proficiency in live event management execution
- proficiency in indirect department communication and staff management
- ability to communicate changes effectively
- teamwork-centered approach to event management
- effective time management and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD
- high school diploma or GED
- college preferred
Job Duties
- Offer strategic input and quality process oversight to Event Coordinators and Event Managers during event planning
- Attend and support event coverage with on-site leadership presence to ensure overall event success
- Maintain high-level knowledge of management areas including sports teams and concerts to assist with strategic discussions
- Develop policies, procedures, and solutions in conjunction with leadership and lead department initiatives
- Serve as a mentor and coach providing guidance and professional development to Event Coordinators and Event Managers
- Promote a collaborative team-first culture emphasizing knowledge sharing and mutual support
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors ensuring compliance with safety and league regulations
