Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field
  • minimum 7 years consulting experience in customs and tariffs
  • licensed U.S. customs broker required
  • thorough knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations
  • understanding of export control laws including EAR, OFAC, and FTR
  • strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • excellent communication skills
  • demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • willingness to collaborate in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of consulting experience
  • licensed U.S. customs broker
  • extensive knowledge of CBP regulations and export control rules
  • strong understanding of sourcing, procurement, logistics, basic accounting principles, and trade compliance
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Advising clients on international trade matters including tariff classifications, country of origin, valuation, anti-dumping/countervailing duties, duty drawback, Section 301/232 tariffs, free trade agreements, forced labor, Partner Government Agency matters, and export control laws and regulations
  • Drafting and reviewing advisory memorandums related to trade consulting areas
  • Preparing and filing administrative documents with government agencies such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection including protests, prior disclosures, voluntary self-disclosures, ruling requests, and petitions for relief
  • Drafting and reviewing service agreements to ensure accurate scope and minimize risks
  • Assisting clients in managing U.S. trade compliance requirements and identifying efficiencies in global supply chains
  • Monitoring and advising stakeholders on supply chain trends and developments in trade laws
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Growth and Marketing to identify service opportunities and develop marketing strategies
