Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to follow recipes, adjust portion sizes, and prepare meals for large groups
- Compassionate and caring attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, organized environment
- Certification in food safety, culinary arts, or related field is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness by following proper sanitation procedures
- Prepare special meals for residents with specific dietary needs such as low-sodium, diabetic, vegetarian, or gluten-free
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth meal preparation and service
- Maintain inventory and monitor food supplies to prevent shortages
- Assist with menu planning and recipe adjustments as needed
- Support a positive and respectful work environment
