Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in international trade business or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently
- Strong knowledge of HTS classification EAR compliance OFAC/DPL screening and import/export documentation
- Proven track record in tariff mitigation and duty optimization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment in San Francisco at least 3 days per week
- Proactive and detail oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in international trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of HTS classification EAR compliance OFAC/DPL screening and import/export documentation
- Proven ability to identify and execute tariff mitigation and duty optimization strategies
- Highly organized detail obsessed and proactive with ability to take ownership and deliver results independently
- Excellent communication skills and experience partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience thriving in a hybrid startup scale-up environment balancing strategic thinking with operational execution
Job Duties
- Partner closely with the Senior Global Trade Compliance Manager to execute strategic trade initiatives including tariff mitigation strategies duty savings opportunities and regulatory planning
- Own product classification restricted party screening and import/export documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy
- Lead trade recordkeeping processes to meet retention requirements across the U.S. and international markets
- Support broker communications resolve release issues and address data integrity concerns
- Prepare and organize trade documentation for internal audits external inquiries or post-entry communications
- Create and maintain SOPs workflows and training materials to improve compliance efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Logistics Finance Legal and Operations to embed trade compliance across the business
- Provide operational support where needed to ensure smooth execution of day-to-day compliance activities
