Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gage design or a related technical role
  • Demonstrated expertise in GD&T and measurement systems
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Job Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge and experience in interior products
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, datum strategies, gage, manufacturing, and assembly processes
  • Thorough understanding of gage design, development, and measurement principles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable presenting to high levels of management
  • Willingness to travel to plants, suppliers, and customer sites

Job Duties

  • Serve as technical liaison to IAC plants, quality, engineering, and OEMs for complete gage life cycle
  • Assure standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in gage design and modification to meet customer quality requirements
  • Supervise gage designs to ensure effective measuring techniques adhering to corporate and industry standards
  • Evaluate gage design and build for ease of use in setup, certification, calibration, check methods, and repair
  • Provide support for projects involving functional gages and inspection systems
  • Approve design and build for component and assembly fixtures meeting plant operations and inspection requirements
  • Collaborate on documentation updates and maintain project timelines to ensure on-time completion
