Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in gage design or a related technical role
- Demonstrated expertise in GD&T and measurement systems
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Job Qualifications
- Proven knowledge and experience in interior products
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, datum strategies, gage, manufacturing, and assembly processes
- Thorough understanding of gage design, development, and measurement principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong presentation skills
- Comfortable presenting to high levels of management
- Willingness to travel to plants, suppliers, and customer sites
Job Duties
- Serve as technical liaison to IAC plants, quality, engineering, and OEMs for complete gage life cycle
- Assure standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in gage design and modification to meet customer quality requirements
- Supervise gage designs to ensure effective measuring techniques adhering to corporate and industry standards
- Evaluate gage design and build for ease of use in setup, certification, calibration, check methods, and repair
- Provide support for projects involving functional gages and inspection systems
- Approve design and build for component and assembly fixtures meeting plant operations and inspection requirements
- Collaborate on documentation updates and maintain project timelines to ensure on-time completion
