Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics
- Experience shipping aircraft components including engines
- Ability to work rotational shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in logistics software
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Fluency in English
Job Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
- Professional certifications in freight forwarding such as IATA or NCBFAA preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics
- Experience shipping aircraft components including engines
- Experience moving product on AOG basis preferred
- Experience managing a team and working with clients preferred
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, INCO terms, and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations
- Understanding of trade laws and regulations
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of additional languages a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure proper handling of AOG shipments from pick up to delivery and continuous information flow between shipper, consignee, customer and DSV network
- Organization and coordination of import/export/domestic AOG shipments within DSV network, including hazmat cargo and oversize shipments
- Daily data entry into AOG Desk log and record filing for management review
- Communicate with local branches, shipper, consignee, Schenker Network, vendors, suppliers, airlines and subcontractors to ensure proper handling and on-time deliveries
- Monitor and control AOG operations with customers, branches, and network to ensure proper service levels
- Ensure information flow to/from customers, local branches and network via phone, fax, email and web applications
- Timely preparation of daily AOG shipments adhering to USA branch and airline regulations and cut off times
- Ensure all documentation guidelines are met according to TSA regulations
- Maintain and coordinate AOG shipments, develop client relationships, and service key accounts based on contracts and SOPs
- Audit shipper paperwork and international transport documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Book airline shipments for US export selecting optimal alternatives
- Arrange shipment collection with trucking companies and integrators
- Price AOG shipments nationwide and collect pricing from global locations
- Monitor and ensure safe handling of aircraft engines on import and export basis
- Work rotational 24/7/365 shifts with reactivity, courtesy and efficiency
