Job Requirements

  • Current work authorization required
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Knowledge of California Health and Safety Codes
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures diligently
  • Ability to lead student workers with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
  • Demonstrated skill in food measurement and preparation techniques

  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures related to food preparation and service

  • Skill in cutting, slicing, and measuring food ingredients

Job Duties

  • Perform food preparation tasks according to established safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Lead and supervise a small team of student workers in daily operations
  • Heat and retherm food items safely while maintaining compliance with health codes
  • Count and manage inventory of food and supplies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen and dining areas
  • Follow Injury Illness Prevention Program guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
