Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of similar work experience in production cooking
- Ability to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Friendly customer service attitude
- Ability to accurately calculate and count change rapidly
- Ability to function autonomously and exercise good judgment
- Food handler certification required within 30 days for Banner Staffing Services team members
Job Qualifications

- Minimum two years of experience in production cooking
- Knowledge of standardized recipes and cooking principles
- Ability to handle food safety and sanitation requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to operate Point of Sale systems
- Effective communication and problem resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
Job Duties
- Plans food production timing and quantities
- Determines menu substitutions in event of shortages
- Minimizes food waste and tracks shortages and excess
- Prepares all food items according to standardized recipes
- Provides high quality customer service and responds to complaints
- Records all sales using Point of Sale system and handles cash accurately
- Maintains par levels of food and supplies, orders and restocks items
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen areas
- Provides full range of catering and special event services
- Operates with general supervision and resolves issues autonomously
