Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum three years of experience in food service management or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Skill in training, supervising, and evaluating staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
  • Must be Food Safe Certified or able to obtain within six months

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum three years of food service management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of dining, retail, and catering service operations
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in cost and quality control techniques
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols
  • Food Safe certification or ability to obtain certification within six months

Job Duties

  • Oversee the execution of catering events including deliveries, food and beverage breaks, plated events, receptions, galas, and cookouts
  • Read, understand, and implement event details as outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) including setup sheets, roll calls, room diagrams, and service standards
  • Manage transportation and loading of materials, supplies, equipment, food, and staff using golf carts, vans, and light trucks
  • Ensure hospitality and customer service standards are met to exceed guest satisfaction
  • Execute multiple catering events simultaneously while adhering to all operational policies and procedures
  • Support other dining services operations including dining halls and retail outlets
  • Utilize software for event management, employee scheduling, and administrative tasks
