Job Qualifications

- ability to safely operate food preparation and serving equipment
- ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
Job Duties
- Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of foods such as sandwiches, salads, salad dressings, entrees and desserts
- slices, assembles, mixes, stirs, blends and/or measures a variety of ingredients used in food preparation activities
- serves food
- portions food into individual servings according to established guidelines
- sets up serving counter/lines, tables and food warmers with appropriate food items and supplies
- cleans serving counters, dining tables, food containers, beverage machines, French fryers and other food service equipment and machines
- cleans and stores trays, plates, utensils, pots, pans and serving equipment
- assists other food service staff and/or works with student helpers to ensure that food is prepared on time and in a safe and sanitary manner
- maintains clean, neat, orderly and sanitary work area
- assists in monitoring and directing the work of student assistants
- performs related duties as required
