Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years experience in food and beverage or culinary or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in related major
  • 3 years experience in food and beverage or related professional area
  • Ability to manage daily operations and lead a team
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work full time at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and legal standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 5 years experience in food and beverage or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with 3 years experience in food and beverage or related area
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and service culture
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational standards
  • Experience in guest relations and customer service excellence
  • Proficiency in performance management and employee development

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and ensures compliance with policies, standards and procedures
  • Manages day-to-day operations, monitors quality and standards to meet customer expectations
  • Maintains operating budget and verifies standards and legal obligations are followed
  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supports and supervises monthly self inspection programs
  • Supervises staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial goals
  • Provides guidance, coaching and performance appraisals for team members
  • Coordinates cleaning programs and recommends improvements
  • Handles guest concerns proactively and sets positive examples for guest relations
  • Manages beverage purchasing and control procedures
  • Conducts hiring and disciplinary processes
  • Analyzes information to solve problems and meets business needs
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support operations
