Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, insurance, or related field
  • minimum 5 years premium audit experience including multistate and multi-entity exposures
  • knowledge of NCCI and state-specific rules and ISO BOP manuals
  • proficiency with audit software and Excel
  • excellent communication and analytical skills
  • ability to work in a hybrid environment and meet deadlines
  • ability to travel domestically 10 to 20 percent
  • reliable internet connection for home office
  • space for confidential work in home office
  • willingness to work a full scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, insurance, or a related discipline
  • CPCU, APA, or equivalent professional designation preferred
  • minimum 5 years of premium audit experience with expertise in Workers' Compensation and BOP audits
  • in-depth knowledge of NCCI and state-specific Workers' Compensation rules and ISO BOP manuals
  • proficiency with premium audit software such as Majesco, Guidewire, or proprietary systems and Excel
  • experience with SQL or business intelligence tools is a plus
  • strong analytical and investigative skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to prioritize and manage workloads in a hybrid work environment

Job Duties

  • Independently scope, schedule, and complete complex physical, virtual, and voluntary audits ensuring adherence to industry rules
  • validate business operations and apply correct classification codes
  • reconcile payroll, sales, and subcontractor data to ensure premium accuracy
  • analyze financial statements, general ledgers, tax filings, and payroll reports to identify discrepancies and quantify premium impact
  • communicate professionally with insureds, agents, and underwriting to secure documentation and explain findings
  • document work papers according to regulatory guidelines and meet service level agreements
  • leverage audit platforms and business intelligence tools to capture data and generate reports
  • partner with leadership to improve audit workflows and implement automation
  • mentor and coach junior auditors through training and file reviews
  • travel domestically up to 20% as required
