Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- No work experience required for degree holders
- Ability to lead meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Availability for full-time work at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile
Job Qualifications

- Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in managing budgets and revenue
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Knowledge of event operations and sales strategies
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales and property departments
- Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
- Identify and resolve operational challenges with property staff and customers
- Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet client needs
- Oversee customer experience from file turnover through post-event phase until turnover back to sales
- Conduct site inspections and assist with sales process when necessary
- Upsell products and services throughout the event process
