Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • availability to work full time
  • willingness to work onsite at the Scottsdale, Arizona location
  • ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • commitment to high standards, policies, and procedures
  • ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or ged

Job Duties

  • prepare event documentation and coordinate with sales and property departments
  • lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • identify and solve operational challenges
  • manage customer budgets to maximize revenue
  • oversee customer experience from file turnover through post-event
  • conduct pre- and post-event meetings to review group needs
  • manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
  • up-sell products and services
  • participate in customer site inspections
  • act as liaison between sales and customer through all event phases
  • manage revenue and profitability of events
  • forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue
  • review billing and payments with clients
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • handle guest problems and complaints
  • maintain presence with customer during event process
  • follow up with customer post-event
  • greet customer during event phase and hand-off to operations team
  • strive to improve service performance
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • review comment cards and guest satisfaction results
  • communicate event details verbally and in writing with customers
